Before we disclose the winner though, I would like to thank ALL of you for subscribing to my still young blog. When I left for a short three day trip last weekend I wished for the 42nd subscriber (which this giveaway was all about) and you gave me 70!

Nothing says "give me that demon!" like a well painted banner on a well painted miniature. Banners allow you to create an attractive focus point for the viewers. However, most banners that already come with miniatures are usually not up to the task of impressing anyone - they are usually either to thick, too flat or too static (mostly all of the above) to be interesting. 

So lets make our own friggin' awesome banners!

Nichts sagt "Her mit dem Demon!" mehr als ein gutes Banner auf einer gut bemalten Miniatur. Banner ermöglichen einen attraktiven Fokuspunkt für den Betrachter. Leider sind die meisten Banner, die schon mit Minis mitgeliefert werden nicht wirklich dazu geeignet, jemanden zu beeindrucken - entweder sind sie zu dick, zu flach oder zu statisch (meistens alles davon) um interessant zu sein. 

Also machen wir unsere eigenen coolen Banner!

Wow! Ich komme gerade von einem super-sonnigen Wochenende am Strand zurück und wollte nur gucken, ob wir die 42 Follower-Grenze überschritten haben... Und was soll ich sagen! 64 Followers! Danke dafür, dass ihr einem perfekten Wochenende noch diesen Glanzpunkt aufgesetzt habt :)

As most of you know, my avatar/nick has been "Zaphod Beeblebrox" since the dark age of the Internet - a time where even HTML did not exist yet and graphic cards made the display 80 characters instead of 40 characters wide...

Nein, keine Angst. Ich werde keine 42 Follower weggeben, so war das nicht gemeint...

Wie die meisten von euch wohl wissen, ist mein avatar/nick schon seit der Dunklen Zeit des Internets "Zaphod Beeblebrox" gewesen - einer Zeit in der selbst HTML nicht existierte und Grafikkarten den Bildschirm 80 anstelle von 40 Zeichen breit machte...

Ooops! I accidentally took the blog offline by having a typo in the server redirect... Everything is back to normal now - sorry about that ;) 

Oooops! Ich habe ausversehen mit einem Schreibfehler in der Server Umleitung das Blog offline genommen... Jetzt sollte alles wieder funktionieren... Sorry ;) 


On a much brighter note, I have added sections for articles and event coverages which you can now find in the drop-down menu. This will make it easier for you to find certain tutorials and/or event coverage. I hope you like it. 

Die gute Nachricht ist, dass ich Bereiche für Artikel und Berichterstattungen eingerichtet habe, die ihr jetzt in der Menüleiste finden könnt. Dies wird es leichter machen, bestimmte Tutorials und/oder Berichterstattungen finden zu können . Ich hoffe, das kommt gut an.

Games Day 2012 Germany - Part I

Insanity. Insomnia. Fun. Games Day 2012. 

Wahnsinn. Schlaflosigkeit. Spaß. Games Day 2012.

For 8 days now we were on a painting-sleeping-only schedule that allowed us to sleep a maximum of 3 hours at night. Went to bed when the sun came up and started painting again for around 18-20 hours straight after 3 hours of rest. It was madness - and fun.

Für 8 Tage waren wir auf einem Schlaf-Mal-Plan, der es erlaubte maximal 3 Stunden pro Nacht zu schlafen. Wir gingen ins Bett, wenn die Sonne aufging und malten nach ca. 3 Stunden Ruhepause dann wieder für 18-20 Stunden. Es war Wahnsinn.... Und Fun!
