42000 views giveaway

Greetings and salutations! 

Since I started to really use this Blog in August of this year, we have reached an average of 20000 views per month - tendency WAY UP. 

So very soon, the blog will hit 42000 views. If you do not know the relevance of the number 42, I would like to point you here. Its just so that you don't think I am a total goner :D

The day we hit 42000 views, I will give away another White Dwarf Subscription miniature - the pirate dwarf. 

What do you have to do to have a chance of winning?

Nothing. Absolutely nothing! Just sit back and wait until we hit 42000 views. Easy peasy.

About 110 of you (1/3 of subscribers) followed my call to share my blog with your friends which -  in combination with my many event reports - led to quite a big jump in subscription numbers. When I saw the many shares, likes and articles that you guys wrote about this giveaway on your blogs, I thought that I should reward some of the creativity that went into writing such nice posts.

Crazy weeks are crazy. 

With these words I would like to thank all of you for the wild ride and surge in subscriptions! In the last three weeks there are almost 200 more of you, bringing us to currently 315 subscribers - a growth that even in my wildest dreams I would never have expected. So there is just one thing I can say to you - and I say it from the bottom of my heart.

And believe me when I say that this is just the beginning. Some of you know that I started a business in the miniature industry a few months back with a mysterious secret agenda. And I am doing this full time - not as a hobby. In the not too distant future you will all find out more  on what this will be all about. And for some reason I feel that all of you will love it. A lot :)

Some minor changes to masterminis.net

You may have noticed already, that I have made some minor changes to the layout and design of masterminis.net.

First of all, since giveaways play such a big part on this site (we loooove giveaways) I have added an extra menu item for you in which you can easily find all current giveaways.

Secondly, I have created a separate sections for back issues of our popular Horoscopes.

Last, I have added a widget that points you to related posts when you read a post. The system should give better recommendations over time. And since we have a LOT of new subscribers recently (over 200 in two weeks!!!) I think this is really helpful.

I hope you like the changes :)

new menu items

Ihr habt es vielleicht schon bemerkt, dass ich ein paar kleine Änderungen am Layout und design von masterminis.net gemacht habe. 

Da Verlosungen und "giveaways" so eine große Rolle bei masterminis.net spielen, habe ich einen extra Menüpunkt nur dafür eingerichtet, damit ihr die aktuell laufenden Giveaways schneller finden könnt. 

Die zweite Änderung ist der eigene Menüpunkt für die beliebten Horoscope. 

Die letzte Änderung betrifft die Installation eines Widgets, dass am Ende eines Artikels auf interessante ältere Artikel verweist. Das System wird mit der Zeit immer bessere Empfehlungen aussprechen. Und da im Moment ne ganze Menge neue Subscriber dazukommen (über 200 in zwei Wochen!!!) ist das gar nicht schlecht, denke ich. 

Ich hoffe, ihr mögt die Änderungen!

Im am currently on a train back to Berlin after what I can only call a teriffic weekend: Visiting the Hussar 2012 in Warsaw, Poland. 

I got a lot to talk about - but with 5 hours of trainride in front of me, I think I will be able to tell it all ;) 

How did I find out about the Hussar?

Actually, I do not remember... One of the many forums and/or blogs that I read must have mentioned it. I then tried to find more information and did not find any. Apparently, the website had been hacked and a new one was not up yet. The website came back around 4-6 weeks prior to the event - which left a lot of people too little time to actually plan for the trip. I am sure this will be adressed for next year.
