[0:42] Another ANGRON, another day of the REVOLUTION

Deutsche Übersetzung im Anschluss!

tldr; (too long, didn't read)
Want to win ANGRON? Post your favorite Forge World product in the comments.
Du möchtest ANGRON gewinnen? Schreibe Dein Lieblings-Forgeworld-Produkt in den Kommentaren!

Greetings beings!

I failed once again. FIAL. I planned to run a new giveaway at 0:42 in the morning (CET) every weekday starting today. But I cleverly put today's 0:42 giveaway on the schedule for tomorrow :/

So here it is at 4:20pm ;) All other giveaways will be 0:42 in the morning, starting tomorrow - all of them will run, until the "GIVEAWHAT?" is revealed!

About me

With every future giveaway I will reveal something about myself that you may or may not know yet. Get to know the revolution dood that claims to be Zaphod Beeblebrox, so to speak...

Here is today's revolutionary revelation:

I am a Games Workshop and Forge World Fan-Boy. There. I said it. Judge me :D

Since I stepped into the Games Workshop on Oxford Street back in 1991, I was hooked. That store had a damn good salesperson (or I lacked willpower) because I walked home with all colors, brushes, orks and dwarves.

Today I hold a collection of (mostly unopened :D) Games Workshop and Forge World miniatures, both limited and unlimited. Let's just say this: My stock is definitely bigger than that of most Games Workshop stores ;)

I love my collection. I love the gaming and painting community. That is why I give some of my collection back to the community which means so much to me.

My 20000+* points Ultramarines are 54-2-0. That's right... 0 losses ;) Bazinga!
My 10000+* pts Ogres have never won. Stoopid Ogres. :D

My 8000+* pts Necrons, like my 8000+ pts WHFB Orks are mostly unassembled.

*mostly unassembled... Some have one-to-many colors up :D

Good News and Bad News

Angron: The badass
from Forgeworld
Remember this giveaway? Over 4000 people saw it. Not quite 4200.

The winner has not received his Angron yet, because I have a very super special surprise for him. This is actually true for the last three winners. Be patient for a little while longer, it will be worth it ;)

Many of you guessed that the GIVEAWHAT was: "ANGRON - give us another ANGRON!" :D

The bad news is: ANGRON is NOT the GIVEAWHAT prize... Guess again (here).

The good news isOK, you want another Angron? I give you ANOTHER ANGRON! (this time only without Simon Egan's Signature ;)

I bought it at GD UK 2012 as well. This in itself is a wonderous fact, as they were STRICTLY LIMITED to ONE per customer!

Ah, the ways of the presman... ;)

Forge World's Angron Presentation - with Simon Egan

How to win ANGRON

I have decided NOT to put all giveaways in the GIVEAWHAT comments. There are a few hundred already, and it would get too complicated.

I also want to give the "regulars" who check this blog frequently better chances to win a prize ;).

Rules:

1. The giveaway will be held on the day the GIVEAWHAT will be revealed.

2. Please post a comment or reply below THIS POST. Let me know WHICH IS YOUR FAVORITE FORGEWORLD MODEL. Every comment and reply to a comment counts as a chance to win. Maybe... just maybe.... ^^

3. I will draw the winner randomly using Random.org as usual.

Good luck! And please Share & Enjoy the REVOLUTION!

Grüße, Bewohner der Galaxie!

Und schon wieder ein Fail. FIAL.

AngronBadest Badass from Forge World
Erinnert ihr euch an diesen Giveaway? Über 4000 Besucher haben ihn gesehen. Fast 4200.

Forge World's Angron Präsentation - mit Simon Egan

Share & Enjoy the REVOLUTION!

  18. WHICH IS YOUR FAVORITE FORGEWORLD MODEL?
    ----------------------------------------

Without a doubt the Tau Manta

Always had a soft spot for Tau and... well... one can dream!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I'm not a huge fan of the Tau flyers so much, but their battle suits from FW are great!

      Delete
  19. My favourite Forge World model is by far Asterion Moloc, the Minotaurs character in Terminator Armour.

Thank you for putting this draw up!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. He is really cool looking. If there weren't all those minotaurs symbols all over him I'd be tempted to use him for my army. It would be quite a bit of work to remove then and kinda defeat the purpose of the model if you removed them all anyway.

      Delete
  20. Drazoath the ashen on cinderbreath.
Lots oft details. Lot oft character.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I love all the Chaos Dwarfs. Hard to pick a favourite but Drazoarth has to be up there. Mind you I feel sorry for everyone who would have rushed out to buy the great taurus model when it was released only to find out a couple of weeks later it was sold with rider. Call me a cynic but I can't help thinking it is a deliberate strategy to make people buy two.

      Delete
  21. CHAOS WAR MAMMOTH (product code : MA-WFB-M-002)

    Viva la revolution!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Elspeth von Draken.

I am very fond of the Death Korps Quartermaster:
    (http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer-40000/Imperial_Guard/Death-Korps-of-Krieg/DEATH_KORPS_OF_KRIEG_INFANTRY_AND_ACCESSORIES/DEATH_KORPS_OF_KRIEG_QUARTERMASTER_AND_RETINUE.html)

But I also love some of their vehicle upgrade kits like:

    ReplyDelete
  28. Eldar Avatar, I even made Dark elves cauldron of blood from it :)

    ReplyDelete
  29. Also, you might want to consider having some people who have received their prizes talk about it, so people are reassured you are sending stuff out.

The competitions do seem to be too good to be true some days.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Agreed- it has a lot of character that one!

    2. Magma dragon is a great model but there's something I like about the warpfire dragon (a bit more in keeping with the warhammer take on things - which toad dragon tops).

      Delete
  39. My favorite the TOAD DRAGON.
A lot of details, a big miniatures for a great monster.

    ReplyDelete

    1. The Toad Dragon would have to be 3rd for me, but it's really close!

  40. Either the Fellblade (http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/New_Stuff/SPACE_MARINE_LEGION_FELLBLADE.html) or the Typhon (http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/The_Horus_Heresy/Tanks_of_the_Horus_Heresy/TYPHON_HEAVY_SIEGE_TANK.html). It's a tie.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I really really like the chaos Warhound titan. I think I really like the idea of titans and the model looks incredible. Second place would have to be Lugft Huron.

    ReplyDelete

Was also nehmen. . . Angron, weil Primarch und World Eater? Die Titanen, weil. .

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  50. My current favourite Forge World model (or models to be precise) have to be the Death Guard conversion kit. They're simply beautiful and the end result of seeing them was deciding to build a 90% FW Death Guard army - that's right. The only non-FW upgraded models in the army are the Obliterators, Typhus and a Defiler. Even then I'd prefer to get the Plague Hulk upgrade for the Defiler, just its cost is very, very prohibitive....

    ReplyDelete
  51. Elspeth gets the prize for Fantasy...simply because her pose is reminiscent of the old Dogs of War SC Bella Donna - who to be honest was a stunner of a model. It's a shame GW can't get female miniatures right except for odd occasions.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. She is one of the nicest female models they have every produced but I think the wood elf females were good too.

It's a pity you can't get her on her own. I quite like the dragon sculpt but it just becomes a bit expensive and I would jsut like to haveher to paint (and possibly convert into somethign for INQ28).

      Delete
  52. Favourite Forgeworld model has to be the minotaur artillery tank. Which is why I had to shed a tear when I ripped out the beautiful twin earthshakers and replace them with a giant plasma artillery piece for my ad mech.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Necron tomb stalker, it's unique as there's nothing else quite like it yet very bug like.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I love how it fits so well with the "undead" theme of the army while still being a crazy mechanical monster that looks nothing like the rest of the army but it still looks like it's in the right place.

      Delete
  54. One of my favourites is the Warpfire Dragon, but there are many more I really really like, for example this Angron ;)

    ReplyDelete
  55. my prefered on is INCARNATE ELEMENTAL OF FIRE in wharhammer monsters category.

    ReplyDelete
  56. The Mourngul is really cool. I just saw it for the first time.

    ReplyDelete
  57. probably the contemptor dread for me, just looks how a dreadnought should do,especially size wise

    ReplyDelete
  58. There are many cool Forgeworld products, tough to choose, but I would go with the Basilisk sculpted by Edgar as my favourite. he is an awesome sculptor and this model just presses all the right buttons fdor me!

    ReplyDelete
  59. My fave forgeworld kit is probably the MKIII Iron armour..although this is subject to change with all the nice kits that are being released lately

    ReplyDelete
  60. Favourite is the Baneblade, because it led to the plastic baneblade and other large plastic kits, win!

    ReplyDelete
  61. As a TAU player my favourite model is by far the almighty Orca Dropship http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer-40000/Tau/TAU-AIRCRAFT/TAU-ORCA-DROPSHIP.html

    Best regards,

    Grumbler

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I do like the Orca dropship, I've always liked the design of the Tau as a race - simplistic shapes made to echo the simple idea of their societies ideology. Well at least thats what I think the designers were thinking when they created them! ;)

  62. My favorite is the gretcin crew. They are not only evil - they are so funny and fluffy (Like the orc-squad by Victoria Lamb :-))

    Cheers

  63. I'd have to say my favorite Forgeworld model is the Chaos Reaver Titan. It just ooooozes menace. It's deliciously evil.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I think that the CAESTUS ASSAULT RAM Is very cool, but I think the new Primarch line will be my favorite set of models! Happy Painting! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  65. My favorite Forge World is the Death Korps of Krieg Quartermaster and Retinue. There is just so much character, and story in that kit. Just amazing.

    ReplyDelete
  66. My fav forge world item is the brass scorpion! It just looks so cool, plus the painted version they show is so well done with its tones of red scales!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Brass scorpion gets a lot of bad press but I agree that it's one of thew best. I think people sometimes just want a resculpt of older models but I like the reimagining.

  67. just though of it. But I actually do quite like the Angron Miniature!

    ReplyDelete
  68. So I have another to add to my favorites. Since I've been looking more closely at the Space Wolves, I decided I really like FW's skin wolf models. They would be awesome to work into a Space Wolf army somehow. Maybe as a "counts as" Canis Wolfborn. It would be a pretty good fit sine he can talk to wolves and goes crazy when surrounded.

  70. Don't ask me to pick a favorite ForgeWorld model. It is way to hard to choose. Hmmm, the Caestus Assault Ram, or maybe the new Cataphracti terminators.
Or for a completely seperate army, the Wraithseer looks ridiculously awesome and my eldar friend needs to add it to her army!

    ReplyDelete
  71. I love the orkboss on his warbike most. He's so cool.

    ReplyDelete
  72. The Thunderhawk (although I will never be able to afford one :)

  78. My favorite FW model is the thunderhawk. I've always wanted one to paint and I finally got one as a wedding present from my wife! Sadly it's still in the box but I'll paint it eventually :D

  80. At the minute, the Fimir warriors are my favourite. I loved them back in Hero Quest, and they've got an amazing Frazetta feel to them. Just really nice sculpts. Top of my FW list to buy right now.
