The blog is still very new and already got 11.000 views since last Monday. That is unbelievable to me! I never dreamed to have such a terrific start - thank you all so much! 

I am very much interested in creating an entertaining and interactive blog as communication (among other things) is generally much more fun when there is more than one person involved...

In search of structure for my blog I am currently working on a weekly schedule of little "shows" (on top of any 'normal' project documentation) - if you ever watched Day[9]'s Starcraft Coverage you will know in which direction I am thinking (Funday Monday, Newbie Tuesday etc...). Now of course, I will come up with my own categories ;) 

As you know, learning how to paint is not always easy. Not everyone of us knows multi-sword winning painting gods that show you everything they know in person. Articles and series' of photos in forums, magazines or books are a starting point, but are no replacement for someone showing you 'how its done'. 

And since having someone show you how to do stuff is the best approach, this is exactly what I am going to do for you.

After all, "Tutorial Tuesday" has a nice ring to it, does it not? Its still a working title, but so far it sounds good to me.

Yesterday I jerry-rigged an old HD Camera over my Workspace (excuse the mess, I am still organizing my studio after the move to Berlin).

Later today I will post a quick test video on something meaningful... We'll see ;)

Das Blog ist noch sehr jung, hat aber schon über 11.000 views seit letzten Montag bekommen. Das ist unglaublich - einen solchen Start hätte ich nicht erwartet. Ich bin euch allen für euren Support sehr dankbar! 
Ich möchte ein möglichst unterhaltsames, interaktives Blog erstellen, da Kommunikation (wie manch andere Dinge) so viel mehr Spaß machen, wenn man es nicht alleine macht... 

Ich suche derzeit nach einer wöchentlichen Struktur für tägliche, kleine "Shows" (zusätzlich zu normalen Projekten, die ich dokumentiere) - wenn ihr jemals Day[9]'s Starcraft Vlogs gesehen habt, wisst ihr, in welche Richtung meine Gedanken gehen (Funday Monday, Newbie Tuesday...) Natürlich werde ich mir meine eigenen Kategorien ausdenken.

Wie ihr wisst, ist es nicht immer leicht, Bemaltechniken zu erlernen. Nicht jeder von uns kennt Multi-Schwert-Gewinner, die einem alles persönlich erklären können. Artikel und Bildserien in Foren, Magazinen und Büchern sind ein Ausgangspunkt, aber kein Ersatz für jemanden, der einem zeigt, "wie's geht". 

Und weil's am besten ist, wenn jemand was zeigt, ist das genau das, was ich für euch machen werde!

Immerhin klingt "Tutorial Tuesday" doch ganz nett, oder? Ist zwar noch ein Arbeitstitel, aber er klingt nicht schlecht finde ich...

Gestern habe ich eine alte HD Kamera über meinen Arbeitsplatz getackert (die Unordnung auf den Bildern ist der Tatsache geschuldet, dass ich nach meinem Umzug nach Berlin mein neues Studio noch einrichte...) 

Später heute werde ich ein Testvideo posten, mal sehen, was ich sinnvolles als Thema finde ;) 

Also: Wenn ihr zur Figurenmalerei etwas wissen wollt - was auch immer - hinterlasst eure Frage in den Kommentaren unten. Vielleicht ist es ja DEINE Frage, die ich beantworte ;)
